About the Sale

Welcome to the official website of the San Diego branch of the National Food Bloggers Bake Sale! Headed up by Marie of Meandering Eats, the sale features San Diego’s amazing food bloggers coming together to fundraise for Share Our Strength. One in five children in the United States struggle with hunger and Share Our Strength creates initiatives to ensure that children have adequate access to nutrition in school and at home.

The National Food Blogger Bake Sale was created by Gaby Dalkin of What’s Gaby Cooking in 2009. Currently, the folks at Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign promote all of the sales across the country. If you are not from San Diego and would like to participate, please check out their list for locations and hosts.

Our fabulous host, Great News! Cookware and Cooking School, will be hosting us again this year on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Please join us as we gather for another incredible sale with a goal of $3000 or more for Share Our Strength!

San Diego’s first sale in 2011 raised $1750 for Share Our Strength with 32 amazing bakers. The second sale raised $3151 with 41 amazing bakers. We’re hoping for big things this year! (2013′s gorgeous flyer by Mary of This Tasty Life).
