2013 San Diego Food Bloggers Bake Sale

It’s that time of year again: the 2013 San Diego Food Bloggers Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, May 4, from 10am-2pm. This is our third year and we raised over $3000 in 2012, with $2500 of it from the day of the sale. That means we have some incredible bakers out there, so mark your calendars and join us to support the fight against childhood hunger!

The fabulous folks at Great News will be hosting us again. Located in Pacific Beach, Great News is a cookware store (or as I like to think of it: a veritable playground of kitchen happiness) and cooking school. We’ll set up the sale outside of the store and deliver the best of both worlds, baked goods outside and amazing cookware inside!

Great News

Would you like to join us? Last year, we had 41 bakers and an incredible array of treats (check out last year’s menu here).

How you can help:

Bake!

  • You do not need to be a blogger to bake, but if you have a blog, we’ll promote the heck out of it!

Advanced Sales

  • Auctions done via your blog will allow us to reach a wider audience and boost our overall sales!

Raffle Prizes

  • Not that your incredible treats need further incentives for purchase, but if you can recruit a few prizes for us to raffle off, it would help boost earnings! This can be done at the sale or as an auction on your site.

Help at the Sale

  • We’ll need people to help set up, break down, and sell, sell, sell!

Advertise

  • Contact local publications and news channels to spread the word about the sale. Coordinate posting amongst your fellow bloggers. Create/distribute fliers and other publications.
